A YEAR IN THE GARDENS

Page 7

After re-digging and replanting much of the raspberry patch last year, we have a wonderful crop of raspberries this year.

The Red Shiso is very abundant this year as well.

William helps harvest the pears.

Pears need to be picked before they are fully ripe. They must ripen off the tree in order not to be mushy.

Here Elizabeth, Emily and William sit at the edge of the Sunflower Spiral with some of the pears from two of the pear trees.

Here some of the Sunflowers from the Sunflower Spiral shine their faces on us.

The Sunflowers are in shades of golden yellow, bronze, orange, and lemon yellow.

The garden forms its own pyramid shape.

In the background of this shot of the Sunflower Spiral is the new building, mid process. After a wonderful Thanksgiving feast in our new space, we move into this building on November 23.
