Frogs, snails, honeybees and the occasional newt also move in. |
June is also a month of Iris. |
I am nutty about irises! |
These golden yellow iris were given to me twenty years ago by a very wise gardener. They grew in my first perennial garden and got moved to the farm where they have flourished and spread. |
These pale purple beauties have also done very well. |

We are trying to grow a larger stand of pink bearded iris. They are not as hardy as the purple iris but each blossom is a glory. |
