Kinesiology (muscle testing) is one way to get guidance. I describe how to use kinesiology here because it is a simple way for any person to realize he or she is connected to spirit and able to receive clear inner guidance. If you have another system for connecting with spirit or receiving inner guidance, you still may want to read the following sections on kinesiology because this information is as much about how to make your dialog with Spirit efficient and helpful as it is about kinesiology. And what do I mean by "spirit"? When I say "spirit" it is my shorthand way to refer to the group of non-physical spiritually-evolved beings here to serve humanity with unconditional love and guidance. These spiritual beings want to work consciously with all of us.

With kinesiology, you can receive information from these non-physical beings and the spiritually-evolved part of yourself that you might believe are difficult to connect with. Any question can be asked in a yes/no framework. These non-physical beings communicate an answer by using your body as a translator. A strong electrical signal is introduced into your body when they want to communicate a "yes" answer to your question and a weak electrical signal is introduced when the answer is "no." Anyone can use kinesiology because everyone's body is an electrical system perfectly adapted to this way of communication.

You can find out whether you are receiving a "yes" or a "no" answer by setting up an electrical test circuit with your fingers. Take the hand that you do not write with. Put the tip of your pinkie and the tip of your thumb from this hand together. This creates a circle with the two fingers. This is your test circuit. Interlink this circle with another circle, made up of the thumb and forefinger of the hand you do write with. This finger combination will be used to test the circuit.

To begin testing, ask to be connected with whomever you want to receive information from. When you are working with Flower Essences, you can call in a spiritual support team of many helpful entities: the Angel of Flower Essences, the Deva of Healing, Pan, your Body Elemental, your God-self and an Ascended Master. You do not have to call any of these entities in or you can call all of these entities in. Let me briefly explain who these beings are.

The Angel of Flower Essences holds the Divine plan for Flower Essences. She is a wealth of information about Flower Essences and how they can serve your unique energy system.

The Deva of Healing holds the blueprint of healing for you and all humanity. Some job assignment, huh?

Pan, head of all the Elementals, is called in to help transfer information from spirit to you and to help ground the healing vibrations of the Essences into your energy system.

Your Body Elemental is called into the meeting because it has a great deal of practical information about your body and as with Pan, helps ground the healing energy of the Flower Essences into your energy system. Your Body Elemental has been with you throughout all your incarnations. During each incarnation, its job is to bring into physical manifestation the body you design for yourself. It follows your directions in every detail adding all the strengths and weaknesses you desire for your learning. Your Body Elemental then holds that vision in manifestation during your whole life. A more conscious partnership with your Body Elemental can help you a great deal. You can begin to give it directions to manifest health and harmony versus letting it take its cues from your throw-away ego thoughts ("I am so fat." "This knee never works." "I can't see a thing."). A good place to start building this partnership might be to give your Body Elemental a heartfelt "thank you" for all the tireless service it has done for you. Your Body Elemental will be glad to help you by being a part of your spiritual support team.

Your God-self is the eternal, all-loving, all-powerful, all-wise part of yourself that you are here on Earth to reunite with. It is your true self. Eventually you will be conscious that you are one with this part of yourself and always have been. Right now the illusion of separation may make you feel that it is not possible to receive clear information from this "higher" part of yourself. Kinesiology may help forge a connection that will eventually dismantle your illusion of separation.

The Ascended Masters are those beings who have reunited fully with their God-selves. They have cast aside the illusion of separation and know themselves to be one with God and all creation. They are available to help us with our own reunion process. If you ask for an Ascended Master to join your spiritual support team, an appropriate one will be assigned from "upstairs," often from a group of Ascended Masters working to bring higher-dimensional healing energies into Human's lives.

I am happy to further explain the role of each of these entities in this group to anyone who wants to know more. My experience is that this spiritual support team is happy to help and can give extremely useful spiritual information in a balanced and clear manner. As a group, they view you as an energy system. They want to help your energy system be of the highest vibration and vitality possible. They know exactly which Flower Essences will best address your energy blockages and facilitate you becoming the light being that is your true eternal identity. While it may sound like a large and unwieldy group, they work in a place of harmony and oneness. What you get is their varied expertise in a united voice.

When you have asked to be connected with this group or with a group of your choosing, you then can use kinesiology to check if you have made a connection with each member of the group. For example, you can ask, "Am I connected to the Angel of Flower Essences?" You then put an equal amount of pressure to hold your thumb and pinkie test circuit together while you apply an equal amount of pressure to try to pry your thumb and pinkie circuit apart with the thumb and forefinger of your other hand. You are applying the same amount of pressure to keep the circuit closed as you are trying to open it. This is where spirit enters the picture. If the answer to your question is a "yes," spirit will introduce an electrical signal into your system that will strengthen the thumb/pinkie test circuit so that it is hard to break apart. If the answer is "no," the signal will be weak or nonexistent and the thumb/pinkie circuit will be easy to break.

When you are practicing kinesiology, you can build confidence in the tool by asking questions that you know the answer to such as, "Is my name Mildred?" Unless your name is Mildred, you will get a "no" response, thus learning what a "no" response feels like. You can then ask the same question inserting your real name to find out what a "yes" response feels like. Another way to get to know what a "yes" and "no" response feels like is to ask spirit to show you a "yes" response and then ask spirit to show you a "no" response.

When people start to use kinesiology, it often brings up issues of self-confidence and worthiness to receive. "Am I really connected to my source?" "Is it really possible for ME to get this information so easily?" "Do I deserve this?" Sometimes, it is a whole new way to look at your relationship with the Universe. When it takes awhile to get in the flow of this new communication, people sometimes get discouraged and count themselves out. I encourage people to "keep on keeping on." Everyone in a physical body CAN use kinesiology. Use kinesiology with a gentle attitude towards yourself. As with using any other tool, your skills will improve with practice.

Once you have confirmation that you are connected with spirit, you can find out which Flower Essences you need to take. You can look at the order blank section of the Web site or open to the section of the Web site which lists a short description for each Flower Essence that we make. Then you can ask about each Essence: "Do I need Angelica? Do I need Blackberry?" etc. Whenever you get a "Yes," jot down a note to that effect. When you are done checking through the list of Essences, you can ask, "Are these the Flower Essences I need?" If you get a "No," check the list again. Sometimes, you have missed one. Sometimes, spirit adds or subtracts Essences after you assemble the group. What happens is that spirit "test runs" the group and then knows precisely which Essences will best serve your healing.

I find that the spiritual support team is usually very judicious in choosing a group for someone to work with. However, if you find they have gone over your budget, you can ask them to prioritize their list of suggestions. You can tell them how much you are willing to spend and then ask them to choose which Flower Essences are the most important for you to have at this time. Then recheck your list to see which ones they still want you to get. My experience is that there is a lot of flexibility and humor in this dialog with spirit!

Finally, it is very important to officially close your meeting with your spiritual support team when you are done working with your Essences. Holding this meeting open indefinitely can be tiring to you. Simply thank the group for their help and ask to close the meeting. Then check with your kinesiology to make sure you are disconnected from each member of your spiritual support team.

Often when I explain kinesiology, someone says something like "This kinesiology sounds all right, but I hear my Guardian Angel and she tells me what to take. Do I need kinesiology?" The fact is you are the God-being in your life, not me. You need to go with the testing method that feels right to you. This communication is meant to be as easy as talking human to human (and sometimes even easier than that!). Follow your own heart to find the easiest way for you to talk to spirit and your God-self. Kinesiology is one way to go, not the only way.

My own way of communicating with spirit has evolved over time. I no longer use kinesiology except when my guidance is so bizarre that I want to concretely double check that I am hearing clearly. Generally, what I do is call in my spiritual support team and ground myself in my heart. I then follow the promptings from my heart. Usually I hear a voice, but sometimes I just follow a non-verbal nudge to take this Essence or that one. I was encouraged by spirit to work from my heart because this is the place in each of our physical bodies where our God-selves are always anchored. Our hearts are Divine. Our hearts are the places where it is easiest for us to experience balance and oneness with our Creator. It is in our hearts that we receive clear guidance and unconditional love and support from other light workers and from God.

Whatever diagnostic approach you choose, there is room for exploration about how Flower Essences can best serve you. Flower Essences are much easier on your system than conventional remedies. No matter which method of diagnosis you use, there is a great deal of latitude for trial and error. Relax! Practice with a trusting and playful attitude. This process of attunement may seem tedious at times, but it builds momentum for you to communicate easily with other God-beings and for you to know your true identity as a fellow God-being, able to heal yourself.
